Concordia Lutheran Seminaries in Edmonton, Alberta and St. Catharines, Ontario are the institutions that prepare men for the pastoral ministry of LCC. Individuals are taught God's Word in-depth as the only source of Christian faith and life, and how the Lutheran Confessions provide a true and faithful expression of that Word. All for Jesus' sake.

Throughout the world they provide food and aid, relief in emergencies, programs for community development, refugee resettlement assistance, and provide a market for traditionally poor farmers and workers to sell their goods through fair wages and crop prices.

LutheranBibleTranslators

Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada (LBTC) has a mission to help bring people to faith in Jesus Christ through Bible translation and literacy work. LBTC, like other organizations such as Wycliffe Bible Translators, not only translate and publish Bibles, but usually must first create a written form of a language and introduce the written language to the people. Many times, due to cultural differences, LBTC must creatively explain some of the expressions used in the Bible. LBTC believes that no language or cultural barrier should prevent people from access to God's Word.

Lutheran Confessions

A quick overview of the Lutheran Confessions and what it means to be a "Confessional Lutheran". Basically, these are historical Christian documents upon which the Lutheran Church stands. Some documents are from the time of Martin Luther (16th Century) while others, such as the Apostle's Creed, date to the earliest centuries of the Christian Church. They were written to explain the core elements of the Christian faith as revealed by the Word of God (not man's manipulation of that Word). These documents have been assembled into the Book of Concord and help us understand teachings from the Bible with much more clarity.
For a more detailed look at these documents please see the Book of Concord.
