REVIEWS:
A must read, April 4 2002
By A Customer
This is perhaps Yancey's best book describing physical pain from a medical, spiritual, and theological standpoint. He explains the importance for physical pain in this world as he tells of working with Dr. Brand and leprosy patients; these patients feel no pain at all and their bodies are destroyed because of it. He also describes several inspirational stories of how people have overcome their pain yet also keeps it real and honest. He offers advice and comfort to those who not only deal with pain themselves but also their caretakers.
Very well written, helpful book!, Dec 16 2001

This book is very helpful when you are struggling with something difficult, especially if it is health-related. I would recommend it to anyone struggling or the family of anyone who is going through a health crisis. |
