If your heart if for shepherding, you will enjoy., October 28, 2008
By Duane Waller
If your heart if for shepherding, you will enjoy this book. It compares the natural to the figurative shepherd. Phillip Keller has the true heart of a loving shepherd. Some really good gems in here on how a shepherd should intimately know his sheep.
No correctional points at all. (Which I would have actually looked forward to). A good book written by a kind hearted man, to have in the shepherd's library :)
The Shepherd And His Sheep, July 22, 2010
By Michael Taylor "Michael Taylor" (Indian Trail NC)
"The Shepherd And His Sheep" is a continuation of "A Shepherd Looks At The 23rd Psalm", also by Phillip Keller.
The book describes the relationship of the shepherd and his sheep and uses this analogy to describe the relationship that Jesus Christ has with His sheep.
Keller uses many verses to illustrate the analogy, many verses come from the Book of John.
The book is around 180 pages and may be read in 2-3 sittings. The title encourages the reader to look at the Good Shepherd for guidance, provision, and the necessities of life. We can trust Him!
Highly recommended. |
